All Cornell students, staff and faculty are eligible to audition for roles in plays at the Cornell Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts!
Auditions will be held Thursday, September 3. For more information and to sign up for an audition time, visit our Green Room (Room 125) in the Schwartz Center.
We are auditioning for the following shows:
Nice People Dancing to Good Country Music by Lee Blessing (October 21-November 1). Oh my gosh — this is SUCH a funny play! Down right hilarious. Work with one of our awesome professional actors too — Michael Kaplan, who is playing the lead (older) male role.
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare (November 19-December 5). This is a contemporary look at this classic tale about misunderstanding, tribalism and passion. It’s teenage angst at it’s best. Director Melanie Dreyer is envisioning something urban, gritty, COOL! Look for upcoming info on how to get your street art as part of the set!
Love Song by John Kolvenbach. This play is part of our Black Box Series – plays directed, designed, acted in by students. This show only has three performances, shorter rehearsal time, etc., so perfect if you’re not sure how much time you have to commit to a larger Schwartz Center production!
Lots of information available about audition process in the Green Room. Stop by!
